Atlanta Motor Speedway is the site for today’s NASCAR Cup Series race, as the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 is set for Sunday at 3:00 pm Eastern time. The broadcast is on FOX. Recently, Chase Briscoe became the 200th various motorist to win a NASCAR Cup Series race, beating Ross Chastain by 0.771 seconds at the Ruoff Mortgage 500 in Phoenix. The key was a fast rest stop, as Briscoe led 101 laps, second only to Ryan Blaney, who led 144 after winning the pole. Chastain and Tyler Reddick made Briscoe go three-wide on the last restart; however, Briscoe could retreat for the win. Reddick took third, with Blaney and Kurt Busch completing the top 5. Let’s look at the NASCAR betting chances for the race and wager card recommendations.

B.J. McLeod, Josh Bilicki, Cody Ware | +100000 |
Ragan went to Daytona at +10000 and came in eighth, and at 2020 at Daytona, he came in fourth. If Atlanta becomes a plate track, then Ragan might challenge once again, making that value worth a small bet.
Denny Hamlin and Chase Elliott are 2 of the top plate races in the Cup Series. Hamlin is much better, but Elliott is likewise elite and racing at his “house” track. Atlanta has undergone a redesign, with high banking and a smooth surface area. However, the corners are likewise tighter, with the path avoiding 55 feet to 40 feet in width. This must make things more like Daytona, which would favor Hamlin, with two wins and four top-five finishes in his last 7 Daytona starts. Elliott has a pair of top-five surfaces without winning over that time frame.
Kyle Larson is waiting on his luck to change on a plate track; while he has determined the nuances, he has not had things come out the way he would like at the end. This year, Ryan Blaney was headed to a win at Daytona before his colleague sent him into the wall near completion. He won the summer season race at Daytona in 2015 and Talladega in 2019 and 2020. He has broken the top 10 seven times in the last ten plate races in the previous ten.
Bubba Wallace and Ricky Stenhouse Jr have both won at plate tracks in the past, but both tend to get too aggressive. One or both of these racers could wind up in a crash, but the danger likewise brings benefits. Bubba almost won at Daytona, and Stenhouse was competing before Brad Keselowski took out so much of the field. Stenhouse is better on the broader surface areas, but Wallace races more often (instead of trashing out).
