Monday’s 6th race from Presque-Isle Downs is an optional claiming event for fillies and mares which have yet to win two races. They’ll be dashing six furlongs on the all-weather surface (Post Time 6:50 p.m. ET).
#1 CHARGINA (5-1) exits a clear runner up finish in a similar local spot. This ones tactical speed should lead to a nice ground-saving trip behind the pace, and Pablo Morales knows her now.
#5 Emirates Affair (8-1) competed at Presque-Isle once last fall, and she set the pace and was second best that day. The early-pressing filly graduated at Monmouth Park on July 11 and should make her presence felt throughout for quality connections.
#2 Bourbon Rebellion (2-1) ships in from Arlington-Park for Eoin Harty. She can possibly move forward in her third start after a layoff. This one owns competitive numbers and should make some noise in the stretch.
#3 Single Lady (3-1) exits a front-running maiden win at this course and distance. She ran very well in all four outings and should be in the thick of things from the outset.
#4 Baby Dragon (15-1) turns back in the distance, and she likes to rally for minor awards in local sprint races. She can spice up the exotics.
