The Mega Millions jackpot for 05/04/21 deserved $345 million, and here are the winning numbers from Tuesday night’s illustration.

Tuesday night’s 05/04/21 Mega Millions jackpot was worth $345 million, with a cash-value choice of $234.6 million. The overall prize could increase depending on the number of tickets offered around the country before the illustration.

Last Friday (04/30/21), the winning numbers for the $319 million prize were: 08-19-26-48-49 with a Mega Ball of 05. The Megaplier was 3x.

There was no grand prize winner from Friday’s illustration; however, two tickets sold– one each in Florida and Texas– that matched the first five white balls, and minus the gold Mega Ball, for the game’s second prize. Had they acquired the Megaplier for an additional $1, their second prize would have been worth $3 million.

Suppliers sold 25 tickets nationwide on Friday that matched four of the five white balls and the Mega Ball for the $10,000 third reward. 6 of those acquired the Megaplier for an additional $1, making their third-prize jackpots worth $30,000.

The last grand reward jackpot winner was from a ticket for $96 million sold in New York City on 02/16/2021. Mega Millions offered the second grand-prize ticket this fiscal year after a ticket sold in Michigan on 01/22/21 for $1.05 billion, which was the second-largest prize in Mega Millions history.

Before that, the previous winning ticket was sold in Wisconsin on 09/15/20 for a prize worth $119 million. That was just the fifth and final Mega Millions prize won in the 2020 fiscal year.

The Mega Millions jackpot starts at $20 million, and other prizes pay from $1 million to $2 million or more with a Megaplier. Tickets are $2 per line, and the chances of winning with a $2 Mega Millions ticket are one in 303 million.

Powerball is the other multi-state lotto, and it also begins at $20 million. Its drawings happen shortly after 11 p.m. ET on Wednesday and Saturday nights.
